⚠️ See Something? Report It Immediately.
If you encounter any content or behaviour on Amar that you believe involves the exploitation or endangerment of a minor, report it immediately.
Report to safety@amardating.com1 Age Requirement — 18+ Only
Amar is strictly an adult platform. Users must be 18 years of age or older to register and use the app. This requirement is enforced through:
- Date of birth collection during registration.
- Reporting tools and moderation, so members can flag anyone who appears to be under 18.
- Immediate account termination upon discovery of underage users.
- Zero tolerance for users who lie about their age to gain access.
2 Zero Tolerance for CSAM
Amar has an absolute prohibition on Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM). This means:
- Any content that sexually exploits or depicts minors in any form is strictly forbidden.
- Accounts found sharing, requesting, or possessing such material are permanently banned and immediately reported to law enforcement.
- We cooperate fully with the South African Police Service (SAPS), Interpol, and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) as required.
- All CSAM reports are submitted to NCMEC's CyberTipline as required by applicable law.
3 Prohibited Content & Conduct
The following are strictly prohibited on Amar and will result in immediate permanent ban and reporting to authorities:
- Any sexual content involving minors (CSAM).
- Grooming behaviour — attempting to build a relationship with a minor for the purpose of exploitation.
- Solicitation of minors for sexual purposes.
- Trafficking, exploitation, or coercion of any person, particularly minors.
- Sharing personal information of minors without parental consent.
- Content that glorifies, normalises, or encourages harm to children.
4 Detection & Enforcement
Amar actively works to detect and remove harmful content through:
- User reporting: All users can report any profile, message, or content using in-app report tools.
- Human review: Reported content is reviewed by our safety team within 24 hours.
- Face-match verification: Our optional verification compares a short selfie video with the profile photo, which helps show that a profile belongs to a real person. It does not confirm a person’s age.
- Immediate removal: Violating content and accounts are removed without notice.
- Law enforcement cooperation: We provide account data and content to law enforcement agencies upon valid legal request.
